Allen and Trish Sowers serve in Honduras as the founders of the ministry Sowers4Pastors. They have lived in Honduras since 2001, raising six children on the field. Now, they are enjoying their role as grandparents as they continue to serve in the ministry, Allen as the CEO and Trish with office work, though they are currently working on handing off responsibilities to the next generation of leadership.
The vision of Sowers4Pastors is to empower the local Honduran pastors and missionaries to better serve their own churches and communities. By partnering with these national Christian leaders the ministry achieves a far greater impact and depth then it would ever have by itself.
Prayer requests:
- For God to send more workers to the ministry, both Honduran and American: With growth in projects and programs comes the need for growth in staff as well, especially as Allen and Trish start to hand off responsibilities as they look toward retirement.
- Health and well-being, especially for Allen’s back pain.
- That God might show them his plans for their future, whether they should continue in the ministry part-time, or go into retirement. Also, they are currently praying about whether they should continue to live in Honduras or move back to the US, as they plan for their retirement or semi-retirement. Please pray that God would provide the needed resources for whatever his plan is for them.
