Did you miss the recent parent meeting, if so you can download the handout in PDF format by clicking here.

Join us Sunday, August 29th immediately following the morning service in the lobby for a Kids’ Life parent “meeting.” We’re using the term meeting loosely as you can stay for as much or as little as you like. Then as soon as you’ve gotten caught up on what’s happening for YOUR child, you’re outta-there .

-Find out what’s new

-Find out what’s staying the same

-Find out the answer to the question that’s been nagging

-Find out who helps to lead your kids each week

-Find out how you can be a part of it all

Consider this… in an average 12 months, Kids’ Life volunteers will have approximately 40 hours to spend with your child. We’re pumped about making those 40 hours relevant and impactful as we seek to influence your children in the areas of faith and character. But – get this. In the same 12 months, parents will have roughly 3,000 hours with their children, and that’s after we subtract sleeping and school time.

The math here is pretty simple. Kids’ Life would be missing the boat if we didn’t spend some of our time, effort, and resources on partnering with parents to help them along their journey of teaching their kids about faith, character, and a relationship with Jesus Christ. And here’s how we do that:

Partnering through relationships. For example:

-Your elementary student’s cell group leader wants to meet you
-Take time to say hi to the leaders in your preschool child’s room

Offering resources you can use at home. You’ll find them on this website:

-Small Talk Sheets
-Fridge Door Cards
-God Time Cards
-Family Time Virtue Packs

Imagine your time at home with your children represented by the color red. Picture Kids’ Life’s influence on them as yellow. By working together, we will merge to create a vibrant, life-changing voice in your child’s life… we call it ORANGE.

Looking for more ORANGE Resources? Consider these:

-Parenting Beyond Your Capacity by Reggie Joiner and Carey Nieuwhof

Did you know that Kids’ Life is more than a place where kids get dropped off on Sunday mornings. We don’t do childcare – nope, not even for the one-year olds. Kids’ Life volunteers develop relationships with kids of all ages and help them feel connected and loved. In case you’re wondering what connecting with kids looks like, it’s…

… helping each toddler adjust to the surroundings, and playing a group game to celebrate Jesus’ love for them.

… listening to a group of 4 and 5 year old’s share their prayer requests during small group time and celebrating the moments from their week that they’re so excited to share.

… a cell group leader who is willing to begin a relationship with an elementary student over a game of Connect Four because they know that eventually they might have the opportunity to be another voice in that child’s life, saying the same things their parents are saying.

… a sign-in desk volunteer coming around from behind the desk to say good morning to a hesitant child.

… a large group teacher knowing that their job isn’t over until the kids connect with what they’re teaching and get excited about living it out.

Kids’ Life volunteers know that helping kids discover Jesus and learn to live for Him is what it’s all about. And it’s as simple as connecting.
