What
is a cell group?
A cell group is a small group of 5-15 people that meets weekly in an
informal setting to explore how the Bible speaks to real life, and to
talk about what's happening in their own lives. Honest, authentic
people gather to apply the Bible practically, laugh together, pray
together, cry together, challenge each other, and minister to each
other with the spiritual gifts God has given each one.
Life Community is a "cell group based" church. That means we've
designed our church to keep small, personal, groups at the center of
who we are and what we do. We aren't a church with small groups; we are
a church of small groups. Discipleship, leadership development,
ministry, evangelism: all happen primarily in the context of a cell
group. We believe this kind of group is the single best context on
earth for real, lasting life-change, spiritual growth, and impact for
God's kingdom.
Our groups also reach out together to share the love of Christ with
those around them, so that they, too, can experience God's grace and
forgiveness.
No clichés, no pat answers, no glib responses, no simplistic
solutions. Just a willingness to struggle alongside one another, love
each other through life, and encourage each other in meaningful ways.
Together, they move toward a closer walk with God, and real progress in
spiritual and personal maturity.
Groups meet at a variety of days of the week and locations throughout
the city.
